The 1st Annual BBQ for Bravery, benefiting
Beloved Roots Ranch for Veterans has been rescheduled.
It will now be taking place in late June 2026, 2 pm-5 pm in Alcoa, Tennessee.

The competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society, and will feature professional BBQ teams from across the region competing for big prizes in four categories: Pork, Chicken, Ribs and Brisket.

Attendees can register to be Guest Judges for the People's Choice category in Pulled Pork. Each Guest Judge will receive:

A judge's badge with a lanyard

Judge's kit including an official score sheet from the KCBS

A private tent to judge entries

An official event patch.

Plates of BBQ with sides will be available for purchase.

Each team will be paired with a local veteran to be a part of the team. This is a unique opportunity to bring our veterans into the heart of the competition—sharing the camaraderie, teamwork, and joy that barbecue events are all about.

Local veterans can be nominated to be on a team by friends or family HERE. A drawing will be held one week before the event.
This will be a fun family-friendly event with great food, live music, and a chance to celebrate our veterans!
